Other parts of our lives
This site has been build when we prepared for participation in
the 8th edition of the Annapurna Mandala Trail
(2008). But we've got a life too and this page gives access to some of our
other interests, preoccupations, histories, and other stuff we want to
share.
The AMT is on the interface of our trekking and running
interests. The links page has lots of interesting
places about running in general. Here you'll find stories about other runs.
The AMT was not the first time we've been in the Himalaya. The
FAQ page gives some of our personal history with the
region. We like to share with you some of our stories of
monsoon trekking with kids.
Speaking of kids: we've got a couple and they all have a page
here so we can embarrass them a bit.
As a family we have been part of the
International School of Phnom Penh
community with quite a while now, as parents, and Marjan as a librarian and
substitute teacher.
Most of us are living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In this section
we file everything that would not have been/happened without the help of
this place.
Roger's current job is with Dutch NGO donor
ICCO, as coordinator of ICCO's
support to Cambodian Democratization and Peace Building.
Over the years we've written a couple of papers, reports,
articles, etc. that may or may not be of interest. Have a look at the
